How ideas get in (and get rejected)

The bar, the reject reasons, the weekly rhythm.

Most candidates die

Ideas come from founder interviews, market gaps we track, reader submissions and our own research queue. Each candidate gets a research pass against the four signals. If any signal cannot be supported with evidence, the idea is rejected or parked, and the reason is logged.

Common rejection reasons

The market is an industry, not a buyer. The pain is real but nobody owns the budget. The build assumes a platform will tolerate you. Momentum is a headline, not a trend. The idea needs venture capital before the first customer. A version already failed for structural reasons that have not changed.

The weekly rhythm

New ideas publish weekly. Published ideas are not frozen: momentum and competition get re-checked on a rolling schedule, and scores move when the world does. A living database is the entire point of paying monthly.
