A curated library, not a feed

SpotYourStartup is a searchable database of startup ideas researched by people. Every idea passes a bar before it gets in, and most candidates do not. What you browse is the surviving shortlist: around 320 ideas across 12 categories, growing every week.

Each idea is a breakdown of nine sections that takes a business apart: the pain, the audience, the market, the money, the route to shipping, the competitive field and how to validate it. The point is to save you the two weekends of research between "interesting" and "I could actually build this".

Two numbers on every idea

The Opportunity Score (0 to 100) is objective. It blends four signals: market size, momentum, competition and build effort. It answers whether this is a good idea at all.

The Fit score (0 to 100) is yours. It compares an idea against your founder profile, your skills, budget, hours and risk appetite, and answers whether this is a good idea for you. Fit shows directly on every card, color coded, before you click.

Scout

Scout is the guide built into the product. Scout runs your fit quiz, computes your fit scores, answers questions about any idea and, on paid tiers, performs deep analyses across the whole library with your constraints attached. Scout is opinionated on purpose: it will also tell you which ideas to avoid.
